Working example for MyScript.js without webcomponents or Polymer

Hello everyone,

a while ago I was able to download a working example (HTML + JS-Code) on how to implement MyScript.js (CDK) on my webpage by placing a canvas and providing a few buttons. Data was captured using the InkManager-Object and the strokes were rendered using the MathRender-Object. I would like to get back to it to solve a few problems. It seems that the makers, however, are now offering a simple on-the-fly solution using Polymer/Webcomponents. While this is certainly handy for many, I find it more flexible to work with MyScript.js directly without having to include another library which may conflict with other components in my webapp. (I would like to use MyScript.js in my angular directive and including webcomponents would just make it more complicated than necessary).

My question: Can you reupload said working example of using MyScript.js with a given canvas?

Best,

Dabooja

Dear Dabooja,

We promote the latest version available of our products, but you can still access myscript js on Git Hub, by browsing the resources/samples/ on https://github.com/MyScript/MyScriptJS/archive/v1.1.0.zip.
Older releases are also located on https://github.com/MyScript/MyScriptJS/releases

We cannot ensure it will perfectly meet your expectations as we are unable to test all versions in all use cases.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best regards

Thank you, Cate.

Once again, thanks, that's exactly what I needed. I had no idea use cases were available as well.

Hi, I was using websocket text example and I was able use the mouse hold and was able to write.

However, I am not able to write using my touchscreen. Is it expected? I have tools to use the HTML as reusable code to deploy them in native iOS Android apps and work on web at the same time.

 Any thoughts?

Thanks

Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,

Did you load the pointer event polyfill?

Please have a look to https://developer.myscript.com/docs/interactive-ink/1.1/web/myscriptjs/get-started/#installation it may help you.

You can use this very usefull page to test what kind of events are captured with your Android webview https://patrickhlauke.github.io/touch/

Thanks for your quick response. One last question. Do you have any plans on adding other Indian languages any time soon. I just wanted to know in particular if any development is going on so I can hold tight!!! Thanks again for your great work!!!

Hi,

We only have long term plan to support other Indian languages. Depending of business opportunities it may come sooner but nothing i am aware of.
