Top area of canvas (around 100 pixels) handwritten text is not getting recognised by the engine.

Dear Team,

We have stored all the points of handwritten text, and applying them to your recognition engine by using Editor, Renderer and we are able to get the recognised text. 

Now the problem is, we are getting the result text with top area of 100 pixels content missed. 

For Eg. If you consider the attached image, for that we are getting the recognised string as:

"Second Line

Third Line"

So we are missing "First Line" text though we have correctly supplied all the points written to the canvas. We also set the canvas Size 768x960 which is the size of paper we are writing.


Please help us with the solution.

Thank you for your question.


Currently, which type of part are you using? A Text or a Text Document?


Indeed, if using a Text Document, we remove the ink in the margin of the document... which would correspond to your use-case...


Also, in your use-case, we would recommend you use a Text part instead and set the guidelines option to false ("text.guides.enable" option to "false").
