Get normalized coordinates

Hello, MyScript Team!

Is it possible to get stroke coordinates with respect to a constant axis?

I am trying to compare strokes based on their x, y coordinates and would like to know if there is a way to have two instances of "hello", given that they are written the exact same way, have the same coordinates despite being written in a different area of the editor.

Dear Viktor,

Thank you for your question.

Our iink SDK doesn't have such feature available.

One way you may try is that you export as JIIX with the strokes information.

With the strokes information, you can then compute the first x point, the last x point, the y baseline... ; with the latter, you should be able to normalize the y, have a relative height...

Please note these are just guidelines to help you think about your use-case. We cannot guarantee it will match your expectations.

Olivier
