Changing the language of an existing Part

 Hello again.

As a follow-up to my previous question, I would like to know if it is possible to do the following. And if possible how can this be done.

1. Set the language configuration to Japanese.

2. Create a new Text Part (in Japanese).

3. The user writes something in English in the Text Part created in 2.

4. By looking at the preview, the user finds that the conversion precision is bad and switches the language of the Part to English.

5. The user verifies that the conversion in the preview is now good.

6. The user converts the handwriting to text correctly using the English recognition.

Basically, I want to know if the above scenario can be executed and how to perform Step 4 if it can.

Also, if the above can be done, would it be somehow possible to later add text in Japanese to the Part without losing the correctly converted English? (If it helps, I can re-ask this part as a new follow-up question).

Thank you!

Dear Nicolas,

thank you for contacting us.

Currently, a part is created with a language, and the language cannot be changed.

The solution is as follows:

1-You have a part in Japanese

2-You add strokes (ensure you keep these)

3-You do the recognition

4-If result is not satisfying, you shall delete the part

5-Recreate a part in English

6-Add the strokes you kept at #2

7-Do the recognition in English.

Best regards,

Olivier
