I've developed a Spelling List app for Primary School kids. One of the words this week was 'business'. My son had written 'bussiness' into the app, and ITC recogniser accepted it as 'business'. How would I prevent this?
Could you please elaborate? Which widget do you use? The Interactive Text Component is part of our first ATK package and the latest version is 1.3.
Do you want to address the same use case - keep spelling error for dictation? On our side, the latest ATK 2.2 package includes Single Char ans Single Line Widget.
You can find more documentation regarding their use case in the documentation: https://developer.myscript.com/docs
ever find a solution to this?
thank you for contacting us, and the interest you show in our product.
The behavior you are currently facing is what we call lexical attraction. Indeed, in order to get the best handwriting recognition, our technology uses lexicons, that have a influence on the recogition which can result in correcting spelling mistakes.
The solution of removing lexicons is no more better, as character by character recognition is also resulting in non satifying result: https://developer-support.myscript.com/support/discussions/topics/16000007886
You then understand we do not have alternatives to offer at present.
