Interactive Ink

[IOS] Margins

 Hey !

I was wondering, is there any way of editing the space used for margins in a Text Document? I would like to reduce it.

Thanks!

Dear Gonzalo,

you can normally set the margin value in the IInkUIReferenceImplementation framework:

-Go to the iink\examples\ios\Frameworks\IInkUIReferenceImplementation\EditorViewController.mm file

-Check the initEditor function

-Margin is set here:

    IINKConfiguration *conf = self.engine.configuration;
    double horizontalMarginMM = 5;
    double verticalMarginMM = 15;
    [conf setNumber:@"text.margin.top" value:verticalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"text.margin.top" value:verticalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"text.margin.left" value:horizontalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"text.margin.right" value:horizontalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"math.margin.top" value:verticalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"math.margin.bottom" value:verticalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"math.margin.left" value:horizontalMarginMM error:nil];
    [conf setNumber:@"math.margin.right" value:horizontalMarginMM error:nil];

Let us know if this helps.

Best regards,

Olivier

Hey Oliver, thanks for your answer.

I saw those values, but regardless what I change, the blank space at the top of the document remains. Is there any other value I can change? Where can I see all the keys?

Thanks!

Dear Gonzalo,

My apologies, I though you were in a text part. Indeed, in this latter one, you can set the margin as explained above.

On the contrary, in a "Text document" part, (the one you are using), margins cannot be set.

Best regards,

Olivier
