Enabling bitcode

Hello,

we want to enable bitcode in our iOS app, but MyScript SDK is the only third party framework we have that doesn't support it. Could you please provide a version with bitcode enabled?

Thanks

Davide

Dear Davide,

thank you for contacting us and your question.

We are indeed aware of the need of providing bitcode enable libraries for iOS.

Based on the tests we did, this results in a very huge library, which can be difficult to provide to customers.

Be sure we keep this in mind, but cannot commit when it will be implemented.

Best regards,

Olivier

Dear Olivier,

thank you for your quick reply.

The library gets huge when compiler on the developer front, because it contains the bitcode. But when it comes to the users, they'll actually get a reduction in size, because of App Thinning. Adding MyScript to our app made it huge, so we really need a way to get this size reduced for our users. You can read more here https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/65422

Thank you for considering enabling bitcode.

Kind regards,

Davide
