Is Cloud recognition not available for Android platform ?

What I have tried

  1. I downloaded the sample from "GetStarted".
  2. I tried Both `Demo` and `Get Started sample.
  3. I used the Key Certificate using the package name.
  4. I was able to perform math recognition.
  5. Couldn't implement this sample for cloud solution.

Questions:

  1. Is text recognition based on cloud code sample not available for android apart from using web view ?
  2. Is HMAC key used for web sample only ?

Dear Yahaya,

just create a "proper REST" request, and post it on our servers.

As long as the request is properly formatted, whatever the plateform that sends it, it will be processed.

Dear Devrath,

currently, I am a bit puzzled by your question.

Indeed, you shall first decide if you go native or web: https://developer.myscript.com/docs/interactive-ink/1.3/overview/platforms/#should-i-go-native-or-web

Then you can refer to our Getting started: https://developer.myscript.com/getting-started

To answer your question:

1-You have 2 possibilities: if you want to go web, either you use the REST of the webSocket API: https://developer.myscript.com/docs/interactive-ink/1.3/web/overview/introduction/. You can then implement it on the platefore you prefer.

2-Yes, HMAC is for the web API. For native, you shall get a certificate, as explained in our documentation: https://developer.myscript.com/docs/interactive-ink/1.3/android/fundamentals/get-started/

Best regards,

Olivier

So you mean to say that we won't  be able to integrate REST api inside android app like using retrofit, if not can you please provide us the way how to integrate REST api in android project as I want to get the HMAC key.
