Cloud Development Kit

Detect new lines in result when using MULTI_LINE_TEXT

I am using CDK to convert multiple line ink data to text. Example:
Testing on android
Test. Okay. Android. (separate lines)
But in the response I get: label: Testing on android Test. Okay. Android., which is a single line response. Is there a way to get the result in separate lines as it is in the input?

Could you please give us more details about what you are doing exactly?
(request type, expected result, actual result...)

Hi,

Here is my request json:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/10bfN6k-_EyfAK6meW9x-4ehmhCthPWxNkPbWUumBImI/edit?usp=sharing

Please check. The written text is (without quotes):
Testing on android.
Test. Okay. Android
The test is on two different line. Line 1: Testing on android. Line 2: Test. Okay. Android.
While the output I am receiving is single line: Testing on android. Test. Okay. Android
I want to get the output as is, meaning if there are separate lines then output should have separate lines.

Thanks and regards.

Thanks for those details,
With your strokes, I get the following result:
label: Testing on androidnTest. Okay. Android. Lines are separated with n

How do you send the request?

Hi,

I am using advanced rest client from google for now. I checked the raw output which contains the 'n' which will work for me. However in the JSON output(in the client) there was no 'n'.

So yes, there is new line present in the raw output.

Thanks and regards.

So if I understand well, you are able to get the 'carriage return' but there is a display problem on the google advanced rest client side.
Could you please give us more details in order to reproduce the problem?

Thanks

We were able to reproduce the problem, the JSON view of ARC tool does not display the carriage return although the Label result is correct in the 'Raw' tab:
ARC-test

Best regards
